What Happens in Salesforce London, Stays in Salesforce London

Last month, Salesforce held an event at the ExCel London Exhibition and Convention Centre. The Ceterna team left the office bright and early (despite getting lost) to assemble for the most important Salesforce keynote conference.

More than 14,000 people registered to the event and 1 million viewed the event online.

Keith Block, Salesforce President and Vice Chairman, made the most spectacular entrance ever with a James Bond theme.

Anyways, here are the key statistics pointed out by Keith…

  • There are more than 2.3 billion social users in our community
  • There will be 5 billion smartphones by 2017
  • 90% of the world’s data created in the last 12 months. Only 1% of that has been analysed
  • Salesforce London was the largest technology conference in the UK

Enough statistics… let’s go straight to the point for those who missed out.

Salesforce has been known to be the “number 1 most admired software company in the world” by Fortune magazine. The entire customer success platform gives reliable data helping businesses sell smarter, faster and easier.

It’s essential to provide your employees with the best platform to get the best results. Salesforce created the perfect cloud system to bond the sales and marketing activities together in order to work effectively called Pardot. You can connect your employees and customers to a whole new level and create a meaningful relationship with each customer.

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud gives you all the things you need in one. It allows you to build and manage one to one customer journeys, which benefits marketers by giving fast, reliable and analysed data from the Analytics Cloud too. More features include connecting apps and products to your customer journey along with automatically monitoring and responding to your customers. Overall, it becomes less stressful to access information at any given time and place.

Moreover, Salesforce introduced Lightning connect to its Salesforce1 app allowing external sources to be integrated into the platform easier than ever before. Employees need to be able to access information on the go such as mobile tools, communities, analysed statistics and insights to they can be up to date with their current affairs.

Salesforce have also added more new features to their Salesforce Analytics Cloud, providing real time data on any devices that can be used at anytime. Despite the fact that there are many Cloud services available in the market today, nothing beats Salesforce’s smart and simple interface.

Salesforce Ignite is the perfect way to engage with customers. In 9 weeks, Salesforce will provide businesses with a complete business vision, execution plan and app prototypes. Ignite redesigns, rethinks and reengineers on how your company can engage with your employees and customers.

Obviously, the event wasn’t all about the techy stuff.

The Salesforce Foundation is known to provide help to charities and higher education institutions by sending 1% of the company’s product, equity and time to improve communities around the world. So, Keith kindly gave CoderDojo a $200,000 cheque for teaching children how to code around the world.
